"However, this grapefruit currently is very rare because of the impact of drought and salinity," Mr. District said.And the average purchase price at the garden is about 23,000 - 25,000 VND/kg.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Le - traders buying green grapefruit in Ben Tre province, currently companies are actively gathering grapefruit to export through foreign markets.However, the amount of grapefruit in the West today is very small, especially grapefruit that meets export standards.

"The whole grapefruit garden has only 10-20% of grapefruit quality, so we have to scour everywhere to gather enough goods. But every day only gather only a few hundred kilograms," Mr. Le said.P> Ben Tre currently has an area of ​​nearly 6,000 hectares of green grapefruit, accounting for 20% of the province's fruit trees.
