With the above goal, after a year of implementing the OCOP Project, Soc Trang province has had 75 typical products of localities in the province achieving 3- and 4-star OCOP certification at the provincial level. Products that have been certified by stars have made progress in quality, diversity of designs, packaging, ensuring conditions and regulations on stamps and labels for product traceability...
OCOP Scheme
In order to accompany production households, establishments, cooperatives, including enterprises creating products certified with OCOP stars, the OCOP Project has developed policies to support the above components, mainly relying on integrated and integrated capital from programs, etc projects and schemes of the central and local governments.
In addition, capital from the budget of Soc Trang province is allocated for the provincial OCOP Program to implement specific support policies of the province. As for the policy of support for science and technology, intellectual property rights protection will develop and develop scientific and technological policies for OCOP products in the direction of applied research, research and implementation, and development of product standards. At the same time, a part of the annual science and technology budget is devoted to completing product upgrades, building product standards, ensuring food hygiene and safety of OCOP products as well as supporting the renewal of lines, the application of modern equipment to the production of OCOP products, developing, registering, establishing, protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights, developing product standards, ensuring food hygiene and safety of OCOP products, etc.

In addition, the OCOP Project also implements policies to support product development according to the Prime Minister's Decision No. 01/2012/QD-TTg, dated January 9, 2012 on a number of policies to support the application of good agricultural production practices in agriculture, forestry and fisheries; policies to support training of human resources according to the Prime Minister's Decision No. 1956/QD-TTg, dated 27-11-2009 on support for vocational training for rural workers by 2020; trade promotion and industrial promotion policies... Particularly with the province's specific support policy, including the key contents of improving the production process, product development, building brands, geographical indications, improving product designs, product packaging, product introduction, sales, trade promotion with credit support for OCOP entities with plans, etc production plans and projects approved by competent authorities, supported with loan interest rates from credit institutions in the process of investment, based on the actual conditions of the locality, specific support levels will be promulgated by the province.
Mr. Lu Dong - owner of Hung Xuan facility, Phuong An 1 hamlet, Hung Phu commune (My Tu) said: "The facility specializes in producing granulated sugar, cane sugar, molasses, colored water, especially rock sugar. Normally, working hours start from 7 a.m. to 17 p.m., mainly rural workers and laborers are paid according to products. On average, the facility produces over 700kg of rock sugar per day. When products achieve OCOP certification, the number of products sold to the market increases because the province supports OCOP stamps to affix them to products, along with which the facility is supported with bag press machines and date sealing machines, contributing to reducing labor, increasing profits, creating a more complete form for bags, etc helping products increase competitiveness in the market, attract consumers...".
Director of Hung Phu Fisheries Cooperative, An Thanh 3 commune (Cu Lao Dung) Tran Quang Can shared: "The cooperative has a commercial shrimp farming area of more than 80 hectares according to the VietGAP process. In addition to shrimp farming, the cooperative also provides additional services for seeds, feed and aquatic supplies. At the same time, from the available source of raw shrimp, the cooperative has created value-added products with one-wind dried shrimp products, which are popular with customers inside and outside the province. In particular, after achieving OCOP certification, the product is widely promoted at trade promotions, so it attracts more and more customers. In addition, the cooperative is supported by the province with a solar power system, contributing to creating a better power source in the process of producing dried shrimp, reducing production costs, increasing profits...".
Deputy Director of the Sub-Department of Rural Development Tran Hoang Dung informed: "In order to support OCOP subjects, the OCOP Program Steering Committee regularly organizes training classes on entrepreneurship, business administration and building OCOP dossiers; organizing conferences to associate and consume OCOP products; display and sell goods at trade fairs inside and outside the province; supporting stamps for all products certified with provincial OCOP stars as well as supporting appropriate machinery and equipment for OCOP subjects in the production process of creating OCOP products...".
