From the beginning of 2024 until now, the association has developed 7,421 new members, down 975 members, the total number of members in the province is currently 197,008 members. The Association mobilized the establishment and consolidation of 9 cooperatives, 25 cooperative groups, 20 professional farmer associations; building and maintaining 127 models of farmers' associations to protect the environment. The Provincial Farmers' Association mobilized to build 13 "Farmer Shelters" for poor households.

Chairman of the Farmers Association of Phu Quoc City Le Dinh Quang said that urbanization not only makes it difficult for member development but also increases the cost of agricultural production, and the efficiency is low. To solve difficulties, the Farmers Association of Phu Quoc City mobilizes farmers to develop agricultural production areas associated with the exploitation of ecotourism to increase value.

In recent months, many agricultural products such as eel, pepper, durian, frog... increasing prices helps farmers make profits after a long time of losses. Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Giong Rieng district Huynh Van Thang said: "Pepper prices are increasing, at the beginning of the year it was only 80,000 VND/kg, now it has increased to 190,000 VND/kg; durian kept a high level until the end of the season from 60,000-70,000 VND/kg; commercial eels increased from 90,000 VND/kg to 115,000 VND/kg".

In order to better perform the tasks of the association and the farmers' movement in the last 6 months of 2024, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Kien Giang province Do Tran Thinh proposed that all levels of the association concretize the plan of the Central Committee of the Association on the implementation of the Prime Minister's Decision No. 182/QD-TTg approving the Scheme "Vietnam Farmers' Association participates in economic development collective in agriculture to 2030".

Associations at all levels focus on admitting new members, strictly managing members and the quality of activities of branches in residential areas; pay attention to the development of members who are fishermen. Guide farmers to participate in the e-commerce platform under the direction of the Central Committee of the Association and member management software in Rach Gia City.

At the conference, the Kien Giang Provincial Farmers' Association and FELIX Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company signed a memorandum of cooperation to support members and farmers to produce and consume goods in 2024 on the e-commerce platform. FELIX Company will support members, farmers, cooperatives, and cooperative groups of the province to put their products on the FELIX e-commerce platform to connect trade, domestic consumption and export. Striving by the end of November 2024, the province will have 2,500 products put on the FELIX e-commerce platform.
