On July 23, the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Long An province, term X, held the 4th Conference, preliminarily reviewing the work of the Association and the farmer movement in the first 6 months of 2024; agree to supplement and adjust the emulation targets in 2024.

In the first 6 months of the year, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee has well implemented Resolution No. 46-NQ/TU, Decision No. 182/QD-TTg, Resolution of the National Congress of the People's Council of Vietnam. The emulation movements launched by the Association continue to develop extensively, creating a strong spread in society.

Associations at all levels in the province strive to meet and exceed 13/17 targets assigned by the Central Committee of the Association in 2024. In particular, the targets achieved high results such as the establishment of a new Vocational Farmers' Association (reaching 270%); fostering and improving qualifications and skills for excellent production and business farmers at the district level or higher (reaching 190%); support for the establishment of new cooperative groups in agriculture (reaching 509%); support the establishment of new agricultural cooperatives (reaching 350%); the number of members and beneficiaries participating in voluntary social insurance (reaching 426%); the number of establishments that have built models of environmental protection and response to climate change (reaching 616%). The Provincial People's Committee also maintains, builds and replicates many new models, effective, creative and breakthrough ways.

In the last 6 months of 2024, the association will focus on implementing tasks in 2024 according to the resolution of the Provincial People's Committee and according to the targets and tasks assigned by the Central Association; promote services, consultancy and support activities for farmers to develop production and business; participate in building a clean and strong Party and government and promote the strength of the great national unity; strengthen education to raise awareness for cadres, members and peasants about the tasks of national defense and security, education of revolutionary traditions;

The Provincial People's Committee agreed to supplement and adjust the emulation targets in 2024. Supplementing the criteria for installing, activating and using the Vietnam ND Digital Platform for People's Committees of districts, towns and cities. Adjust and mobilize 1% of employees to participate in voluntary social insurance (the plan is 5%).

At the conference, the delegates agreed with the report of the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, the delegates also provided information about the situation in rural areas,... in the locality; advantages, difficulties and directions to overcome. At the same time, the delegates discussed and proposed issues such as the management of capital sources of the Bank for Social Policies, installing apps for farmers, the efficiency of agricultural cooperatives, and social insurance targets,...

Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Member of the Central Committee of the People's Council of Vietnam, Secretary of the Party Union, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Le Van Hung highly agreed with the content submitted by the Standing Committee. He suggested that members of the Standing Committee, members of the Executive Committee of the People's Committee of the X term and districts, towns and cities of the Association are responsible for concretizing into the work program of the Association in their localities and units.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee and Felix Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company signed a Coordination Program to support members, investors and businesses on the Felix.store e-commerce platform, connecting trade, domestic consumption and export./.
